NISER Bhubaneswar, India

After a prolonged struggle, On August 28th 2006, The Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, announced the setting up of NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH (NISER) at Bhubaneswar. He said that this institute will be at par with the IISERs and when completed will be like today's TIFR and IISc. This blog is a watchdog to make sure that the above indeed happens.

Samaja reports NISER will be in Khorda

Samja raports that NISER would be established in Khorda instead of Naraj in about 300 acres of land. Another 10 acres of land near Institute of Physics would be made available for NISER city campus.
